More hands make less work!
Volunteer Opportunities:
- The Volunteer Squad meets at Fort St. Presbyterian church on Tuesday’s from 1 p.m.-4 p.m. to work on sorting donated clothes, packing hygiene kits, and preparing, storing other survival donations to prepare for street outreach.
- Street Outreach Volunteers would ride along with me, and/or Traci and Nick to pass out meals, clothing, hygiene kits, and some inspirational support. This position is one that adheres to our Magdalene’s Mission Street Outreach Volunteer guidelines.
- Meal preparations: Magdalene’s Mission’s standard is to offer homemade healthy meals, and non-perishable snacks. Depending on the time of year, we usually prepare 30-50 meals each week. In the warmer months we see more people (50 meals). Fresh fruit and hydration is key. In the winter months, we see fewer people (30 meals). This is when we offer our warm meal program. Food would be brought to where I live in Whitmore Lake, or meet us at Fort Street Church on Tuesday between 12 noon and 4 pm.
